A praise and a prayer request

Jackson's blood pressure is remaining stable, and he even had a record low the other day: 129 over 65! My heart overflows with gratitude to the only God and Savior, who is "righteous in all His ways and kind in all His deeds" and "near to all who call upon Him in truth" (Psalm 145:17–18).

At the same time, my heart breaks for another family. So instead of requesting specific prayer for Jackson this time, I ask that you please lift up Brandon Cook, his parents, and his grandparents. This young man is gravely ill, and although the cancer treatments have failed, our Savior never fails—even when the answer to our prayers isn't what we hoped for.

To quote the beautiful song Always, written by Jason Roy and recorded by Building 429:
I believe always, always
Our Savior never fails
Even when all hope is gone
God knows our pain and His promise remains
He will be with you always
Have a blessed and happy Thanksgiving. Among the countless things I'm thankful for are those of you who keep up with Jackson through this blog and keep sending up prayers on his behalf.
